Rejuvenated Himachal Pradesh Welcomes Tourists with Discounted Fares

Beautiful Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh recently faced significant disruptions due to adverse weather conditions, resulting in the closure of numerous roads because of frequent landslides. This unfortunate situation dealt a severe blow to the state's thriving tourism industry.

However, the resilient spirit of Rejuvenated Himachal Pradesh shines through, as the authorities are diligently working to get back on track and warmly welcome visitors. Director of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Amit Kashyap, announced that tourists can now explore destinations like Kasauli, Chail, Kinnaur, and Narkanda, as the roads leading to these areas have been reopened and are deemed safe for travel. Additionally, well-loved places such as Mcleodganj, Dharamshala, Dalhousie, Palampur, Khajjiar, and Chamba are now accessible to commuters.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu reassured travelers that Himachal Pradesh is now a secure destination for tourists. Roads in various areas have been restored and are suitable for travel, despite recent heavy rainfall disrupting national highways and other roads. The state government's diligent efforts are focused on facilitating travel and extending a warm invitation to tourists to explore the beauty of the state once again.

Mr. Amit Kashyap also emphasized the opportunity for tourists to take advantage of discounted fares offered in many hotels throughout the state during the current season. He highlighted the significant contribution of the tourism sector, accounting for 7% of the State's Gross Domestic Product (SGDP) and providing employment opportunities to around 14.42% of the state's workforce, both directly and indirectly.

While heavy monsoon rains did create some road disruptions, the state government's swift actions have now allowed tourists to explore districts like Shimla, Chamba, and Kangra. Furthermore, Alliance Air is offering daily flights from Delhi to Shimla, with convenient connections to Dharamshala via Kangra Airport at Gaggal. Notably, the state government is subsidizing the fare for all seats on the Shimla-Dharamshala-Shimla route, fixing the total fare at an affordable INR 3,000.

To provide even more convenience and scenic experiences, Pawan Hans Limited operates helicopter services under the UDAN scheme, connecting tourists from Chandigarh to Shimla and onward to Rampur, Kullu, Mandi, and Dharamshala.

Now is the perfect time to experience Rejuvenated Himachal Pradesh with these enticing discounted fares.
